Some of the most memorable quotes in our language are those that are insta-worthy. This summer, I’m featuring a few of my favorite vacation insta captions.
The idea for these is pretty simple: you can make a holiday story by taking a photograph of an object that’s both pretty and memorable. Then, you can add a caption that tells people what you saw, so that they can share it with their friends and let them know what the heck it is.
I don’t know if you know this but you can make a holiday story with your friends by taking some pretty pictures and finding some pretty words. That’s exactly what I did when I uploaded these to Im, and I’m pretty sure about 100% that I’m still kicking myself for it (and I’m totally not alone). It’s also a great way to put your own twist on holidays.

I love how Im always has a new holiday story at the top of the page. There are a couple of good holiday-related stories that I’ve featured, but there’s always room for at least one holiday-related story per page. They’re great way to fill the page with holiday-related content without having to spend a lot of extra time writing it.
Im’s new holiday-related stories start out with a description of how Im was feeling and what Im was up to, then tell a story about a holiday in Im’s life.
Im a writer, and I feel obligated to put holiday-related story content at the top of my pages, but I don’t always have the time to do it. But that’s also the reason why I put holiday-related stories at the top of my pages: I really just want to share stories with you that I want to share with you. So if you’re a writer, you can probably add holiday-related content to your posts as well.
Im not saying you should just do it, but I think it’s important that when a holiday comes up, you put something up that gives people a reason to visit your site. If Im not up to something, I’ll probably be up to something else. But I don’t want to see a holiday-related post because I’m not going to be able to talk about it in a way that will be interesting to other people.
Holiday-related content is the holy grail of blogging, because all those holiday-related posts are guaranteed to get visited by the masses. However, most people seem to be unaware that there are holiday-related posts on blogs, so they never come up.
Of course, there are some people who just don’t want to share their vacation-related content with the world. These people are the “holiday-vacationists.” They post holiday-related posts in the hopes that the rest of the world will visit them and be inspired by their example. But these are the people who never really think about how their vacation-related posts are going to wind up on other blogs, so they never do anything about it.
