I came up with a list of 10-20 words I use every day that are very common. The best part is that they are words that have no special meaning when used in certain situations.

I guess the best part is that every single one of them is completely random. There’s no rhyme or reason to how they are used, and some of them have very specific meanings in certain contexts. One of the best examples is “coffee” meaning “to drink,” though that also means “to drink a lot of coffee or tea.” I know I used the word a lot when I was watching The Office, and I still like that word.

I also have a lot of trouble calling the new word “Coffee.” Because I think the word sounds like it is a name for a coffee maker, especially for a coffee maker that would be called a “coffee maker.” I like the idea of “coffeecoffee” because I like the idea that the word “coffeecoffee” refers to a specific thing, i.e. a specific kind of coffee.

Okay, so I’m not sure what we do with that. If we want an ersatz coffee maker, we give it a name so it can be used by anyone who wants to use it. If we want coffee in a cup holder, or our coffee is in a filter, we give it a name so that it can be used in any of those places.

The only things that are really important are the ingredients, whether they’re coffee, water, or any other kind. We usually have to look at the ingredients in our cups, and what they look like, but we can’t really think of what they’re doing. So we just toss those ingredients in an empty cup, so that they’re ready for use in coffee.
